It was September 2017 when my 1990 Carrera 2 Targa refused to start, so I looked for a good Independent Service Agent locally. After reading the testimonials at Cavendish Porscha I was confident to entrust the repairs to them. It turned out that a raft of issues were uncovered and as result they stripped and rebuilt my engine. We talked of my selling the car and I agreed to let them take care of everything. Well, they did - Simon supplied stage by stage photos of progress and I went to see the finished car and was extremely impressed by their attention to detail and honesty during the repairs. Adam and I agreed a price and the car was sold almost instantly. So I cannot recommend more highly, the efforts, professionalism and high calibre of workmanship at all levels. Prior to using Cavendish I used another well known Porsche independent in the Nottingham area. My first encounter with Cavendish was after experiencing a strange noise from my engine, I took my 911 along to my usual Porsche independent to investigate. After a day had past, I received a call from them telling me that my engine had failed and that I needed either a full re-build or replacement engine at an approximate cost of £5000-£6000. Not being convinced with their diagnosis, I took my car to CavendishPorscha for a second opinion. I told them nothing except that I had an unusual noise coming from the engine. A few hours later Simon called me to say my car was ready for collection and all is OK. It turned out that a spark plug was loose (fitted by the garage that told me I needed a new engine) and the compression from the engine was blowing past the loose spark plug and making a peculiar tweeting noise….. £45 later, I was back on the road! I have used Cavendish ever since and this is down to their honesty and experienceMark Harrison

My GT3 developed an engine oil leak so I took it to my local Porsche independent dealer who had sold the car to me and had maintained it since I purchased it from them. I asked them for a diagnosis and a quote for repair. A few days later they called me to say they had found the problem and that the rear crank seal was leaking and it was going to cost around £1,100 to repair. I requested that they hold fire whilst I thought about it! I decided to get a few quotes for the repair from other local Porsche indies. By luck I called Cavendish and explained what I required and gave my vehicle details. To my surprise they told me that my 997 GT3 was in fact at their garage and on their ramp waiting for authorisation to carry out the repair to the rear crank oil seal! My dealer had taken it there without my knowledge and had led me to believe that they would be carrying out the repairs! So, I asked Cavendish how much they had quoted to carry out the work and I was told £450 which also included the VAT. After my conversation with Cavendish, I gave them the authorisation to carry out the work. I contacted my original Porsche specialist and asked them to explain. Obviously they couldn’t! Due to the honesty and workmanship carried out on my car, I have used CavendishPorscha ever since. I would recommend them to other Porsche owners looking for a very reasonable price and honest service.Gavin Haywood

Cavendish Porsche has been looking after my 1987 944S since 2013 and in that time it has gone from routine maintenance to major top end rebuild. My Porsche has now covered a massive 297,000 miles and she’s still going strong which is a real testament to the quality of the brand and to the workmanship that has been carried out over the years. Being new to Porsche these guys really explained things well, very happy with the service , will definatly be using them going forward.
